She grins with self-satisfaction, nips his ear, and snuggles down onto his chest.

"Still think the ghost bells are magical?"

Yes, she's still wearing them, jut not much else.

She beams and kisses his chest.

"Thanks, babe. You're not so bad yourself."

He looks at her a moment, then laughs. "Wow. You're cocky all of a sudden."

She straddles his hips and looks down at him, hands planted on his chest.

"Maybe a little. Do you mind it?"

He shakes his head, beaming at her. "I like it."

"Good. Well-behaved women rarely make history."

She smirks.

"Or make their boyfriends scream and beg for more."

"That is so very true," Charlie says and sits up to kiss her.

She kisses him back and hugs him tightly.

"Can't believe I really have you."

"You do. I'm . . . I'm not exactly sure how wer're going to make this work, but we will."

"Thanks, Charlie."

She smiles against his throat.

He smiles too. "I just love you, that's all."

She gasps and pulls back to look at his face and blushes faintly.

"What?" He puzzles at her. "We've established that already, haven't we?"

She's still staring.

"Just..."

She smiles like the sun's come out.

"I love you too, Charlie."

He kisses her, holding her face in his hand. "Good," he whispers and kisses her again.

She kisses back and melts against him.

"So, where do we go from here?"

"Eventually I have to go back to school. But . . . maybe you could come stay with me sometimes, when I've got a better place to live, and when I'm done . . ." He kisses her neck.

"I'd like that. I've never been to London."

She grins and pulls him close and rubs noses with him.

"And when you're done...?"

"And when I'm done I'll get a job and a place for us to live and . . . yeah. Stuff. Grown-up stuff."

She smirks a little and quirks an eyebrow.

"Sounds like we need to have a grown-up talk soon, then."

"Grown-up talk?" He squirms. "Not sure I like the sound of that."

"I like doing it more." He tickles her belly lightly.
