bloodyrockgodCharlie's dreams are frequent and vivid. Kicking his addiction has made them more lucid, most of the time, and vastly cut down the number of nightmares.
He still has nightmares, though, and when he does he wakes panicked and thrashing, gasping for breath if he's dreamed of the hanging or still feeling the heat of the gun in his hands if he's dreamed of Ethan--waking with his ears ringing or his wrists aching from the kickback.
He doesn't like those dreams.
Nights after those dreams are usually spent in the sitting room, waiting for the sunrise, or better still downstairs where there's always something going on.
When you're sure sleep is only going to bring more bad dreams, it's just better to stay awake.
