"He is," she says, although Seth seems to be more alert than usual, watching them both with interest.

"Well. . .it's time for him to sleep, at any rate."

"Do you want me to take him?" Charlie's voice is soft and much lower than usual. "Sing to him a bit?"

She shrugs one shoulder and looks around the suite-- still hers, too, for now-- before smiling shyly at him.

"Sure. If you want."

Charlie takes Seth and takes him into the other room, singing softly. Seth struggles manfully (babyfully?) against sleepy eyes, whimpering, but still when Charlie lays him in his crib there's only a few soft squeaks in protest.

"Gonna hafta miss out on this adventure, bug," Charlie whispers. He stays until he's sure Seth is asleep, and then comes back out to find Claire.

She is still more or less in the same spot he left her in, except minus her shoes.

"He's asleep?" she asks softly, digging bare toes into the carpet in anticipation.

"Yeah." He hesitates a moment, then crosses the room and cups her face in one hand. He kisses her.

Best way to take care of nerves, that.

She sighs into the kiss, opening her mouth to him, one hand cupping his neck and bringing him closer.

His hand presses against the small of her back, bringing her closer still, and there's a soft hum form his throat as the kiss deepens, lingers.

She pulls away for the briefest second, just long enough to whisper his name before she slants her mouth over his again.

Her other hand finds the collar of his shirt and grabs it, holding on.

He smiles at her whisper and his hand slides down her back to her bottom.

It's very blatant. Charlie sux at subtil.

She giggles and nips at his bottom lip in appreciation.

He picks her up without preamble, both hands under her ass, still kissing her. He's multitalented that way.

She has no choice, really, but to wrap her legs around his waist and her arms around his neck.

The position gives her a slight height advantage and she wastes no time in tilting his head back and exploring his mouth.

Mmmm . . . he likes. He walks carefully towards his bedroom, head tilted back and tongue playing with hers.

She clings to him, laughing softly when they bump into his doorframe.

"Put me down," she grins when they're close enough to his bed. "So I can touch you."

He lays her back and then kneels over her, bending to kiss her again, one hand in her hair.

"Charlie," she murmurs as the kiss trails off. She opens her eyes and watches him, her gaze dark already.

"Don't change your mind, okay?"

"Won't," he whispers. His mouth moves softly over her cheeks and chin and cheekbones. "Won't."

"Good," she smiles and then pulls him back to her mouth. She kisses him with a sudden urgency as her hands find their way underneath his shirt, scratching lightly up and down his spine.

He chuckles and shivers and starts nibbling on her neck.

"Mm," she sighs and squirms, trying to get closer to his mouth and away from it at the same time.

Oh, yes. He's found one of her spots.

This makes him laugh again and bring out the tongue to tickle her even more.

"Charlie," she whispers again, combing her fingers through his hair, while her other hand skips down his back to his ass.

There is too much space still between them.

Well, that's very easily corrected, and he rests his body on hers.

Her leg slips up around his hip as she kisses her way down his jaw to his ear.

"Much better," she murmurs.
