There are swans in Hyde Park, both black and white. There are trees to sit under and white chairs by the river, and most days, even at its busiest, it's peaceful and green.
Charlie and Darien sit on the grass under a large oak, far away enough from the river that their picnic is not a temptation to the swans. It's warm out--for Britain--and Charlie is soaking up the sun.
It's good to be home.
[ooc: mun's memories of London are fuzzy, woe. obviously she needs to go back.]

Date: 2006-06-09 02:47 am (UTC)Charlie rubs his chin.
There's a little bit of mischief in his eyes as he says, "You wouldn't make me wear the dress, would you?"

A hand fumbles in his pocket until he pulls out a black box that opens to show an interesting sort of ring (http://www.ka-gold-jewelry.com/images/products-800/mobius-ring/mobius-ring14.jpg).

He can't say a word but his eyes, his face, his smile--they all says Yes. Always. Yes.

Date: 2006-06-09 03:12 am (UTC)And he sees it in Charlie's eyes but he has to be sure. Has to be sure of something.

Date: 2006-06-09 03:16 am (UTC)There's some fumbling with his hands as the ring is pulled from the box and slipped onto Charlie's finger, the right one (so yes, some more fumbling) but it gets there.
It's there.
That's what counts. He said yes and it's there.

Date: 2006-06-09 03:18 am (UTC)There's kisses to be had and tears to be wept and a wonderful, perfect, lovely Darien to be snuggled and touched and looked at with amazement.

Date: 2006-06-09 03:20 am (UTC)"Now?"
And he's breathing hard. It's one word but it's simple, quiet. Does Charlie want to go, head to Vegas, get it done right now and walk into that bar like nothing had changed (because, really, had it? Maybe it had, but only for them. Not in any other way) or were they going to do this traditional?
